Is marital intimacy considered adultery if it occurred before the fatwa regarding apostasy was issued, knowing that there was a previous fatwa stating that if someone apostatizes from the religion and then has intercourse with his wife, this intercourse is considered unlawful sexual relations?

This question concerns someone who has already apostatized. As for the questioner, what is in his mind is mere waswasah (whispering doubts), and we fear that pursuing an answer will only increase his waswasah.
