Is my friend considered to have legitimized anal intercourse with his wife, and thereby apostatized, if he believes that the issue is disputed among scholars?

It has been previously clarified that anal intercourse with a woman is forbidden, and this is the view of the majority of early and later scholars, including the four Imams. What has been narrated from some early scholars regarding its permissibility has been challenged and attributed to poor transmission or intended to mean approaching a woman in her front from behind. Not every difference of opinion is valid, and justifying permissibility based on a difference of opinion is a reprehensible and blameworthy approach, and a blameworthy pursuit of concessions in Islamic law. This act does not expel its perpetrator from Islam if there is some kind of interpretation for it, but the seriousness of this path must be explained, as it can lead to deviation and ruin.
