Is it permissible to engage in anal sex with one's wife, and what is the ruling concerning the Hadiths that permit it?

What is attributed to Ibn Umar and other early Muslims regarding the permissibility of anal intercourse with a woman is incorrect, and what is firmly established from them is its prohibition.

Ibn al-Qayyim clarified that the interpretation of the verse, "Your women are a tilth for you, so approach your tilth however you will" (2:223), refers to approaching the vagina from all directions, not to anal intercourse.

As for what Al-Nasa'i narrated about a man having intercourse with his wife in her back passage during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, it contains an error. The intended meaning of "from her back passage" is from the rear side towards the vagina.
