Is anal sex with one's wife a matter of scholarly disagreement?

The issue of a husband engaging in anal intercourse with his wife is forbidden by Islamic law, according to the consensus of the Ummah, due to the established prophetic prohibition. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that anal sex was never permitted by any prophet. What has been attributed to al-Qasimi concerning its permissibility is due to his citing the opinions of those who allowed it and his weakening of the Ahadith (prophetic narrations) regarding its prohibition. However, he ultimately relied on what is generally held by the majority of scholars. Al-Albani definitively affirmed its prohibition and refuted al-Qasimi's statement, emphasizing the authenticity of the Ahadith that warn against it, citing the opinions of imams who definitively ruled it unlawful.
