The questioner's statement that Al-Shawkani permits anal sex with a woman is incorrect. What is preserved from him, rather, is its prohibition, supported by prophetic hadiths that specify the anus (dubur) as an exception from the general meaning of the noble verse: (So approach your cultivated land however you wish) [Quran 2:223]. The perpetrator of this sin must make sincere repentance, as it is among the gravest of sins and may lead to sodomy. Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of whoever repents, even if their sins are numerous.
