Is anal sex with one's wife permissible or forbidden in the Hanafi school of thought and other Sunni schools of thought, and why have some schools of thought permitted it?

Engaging in anal sex with a woman is forbidden by Islamic law and considered repulsive by nature. It is one of the major sins, and its perpetrator is threatened with deprivation from Allah's gaze and with a curse. Ibn Abi Shaybah, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Hibban narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah will not look at a man who has anal sex with his wife." Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Al-Nasa'i narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Cursed is he who has anal sex with his wife." This prohibition is the view of the majority of the Salaf and Khalaf, and the majority of the four Imams and others. Whoever attributes permissibility of this act to Imam Malik has slandered him.
