Is it permissible for a woman to perform her household duties while in I'tikaf in her home from Fajr prayer until sunrise?

The jurists differed regarding the validity of a woman's i'tikaf (seclusion for worship) in her home mosque (musalla). The majority held that it is invalid, while the Hanafis permitted it on the condition that the woman is fasting, that her sitting is with the intention of worship, and that she does not leave her home mosque except for a dire necessity.

If a woman sits in her prayer area (musalla) after Fajr prayer, remembering Allah until the sun rises, and then prays two rak'ahs, she will attain the reward of a complete Hajj and 'Umrah. However, this reward is conditioned upon sitting in the musalla and engaging in dhikr (remembrance of Allah).
