How did Gabriel (peace be upon him) support Jesus (peace be upon him), as stated in the noble verse: "And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit"?

The Holy Spirit is Gabriel, peace be upon him, and he is the noble, powerful, and trustworthy Messenger. He was called a spirit because he revives souls with the clear guidance and exposition he brings from Allah. The meaning of "We supported him" is that We strengthened him and aided him. This support for Jesus, peace be upon him, was through Gabriel, who nurtured him, ascended with him to heaven, and delivered revelation to him so he could convey his message. The greatest form of support is through the revelation of Allah, and Gabriel is entrusted with descending the revelation. The Holy Spirit may refer to the sacred angel like Gabriel, or the revelation, guidance, and support that Allah sends down. Allah has supported the prophets with angels and with guidance, and "Holy Spirit" means the pure and blessed spirit.
