Is it permissible to direct the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit will continue to support you as long as you defend Allah and His Messenger," to a Muslim today as a form of moral support, knowing that the Holy Spirit is Gabriel, who does not descend after the death of the Messenger?

Muslim reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Lampoon Quraysh, for it is more severe upon them than a shower of arrows." He sent for Hassan ibn Thabit, and Hassan said: "By Him Who sent you with the truth, I shall flay them with my tongue as a hide is flayed." Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit will continue to support you, as long as you defend Allah and His Messenger." The Holy Spirit is Gabriel, peace be upon him. Gabriel's support for Hassan is known only through revelation, so it is not permissible today to say that Gabriel supports anyone, because it is a statement about Allah without knowledge, and it is forbidden, due to His Almighty's saying: "And to say about Allah what you do not know."
