What are the aids to performing acts of worship such as prayer, fasting, and reading the Quran, in a state of sluggishness towards them after having been committed to them?

This laziness in performing acts of obedience after committing to them is a reprehensible slackness (futūr). A Muslim should persevere in the acts of obedience he has accustomed himself to, for the deeds most beloved to Allah are those performed regularly, even if they be few.
