Is it permissible to write a Quranic verse with the intention of healing on a clean piece of cloth, then dissolve it in water and drink it, and if it is permissible, should it be written with an ink pen or with saffron, and how is this method performed?

It is permissible to write verses from the Quran and for a sick person to drink them. Some scholars have mentioned the permissibility of writing them with saffron, as it has been narrated that some of them did so. Ibn al-Qayyim also mentioned in Zad al-Ma'ad that Abu Abdullah (Imam Ahmad) used to write for a woman who had difficulty in childbirth, using saffron.
