Is a husband considered disobedient if he reproaches his family for their ill-treatment of his wife, or prevents her from dealing with them due to the psychological impact this has on her?

A husband must remove harm from his wife, and she has the right to live alone in a dwelling where she is not harmed. He should reconcile between his family and his wife, and give everyone their due. It is not permissible for a husband to boycott or quarrel with his parents, and he should advise them gently and courteously. The wife can be reminded that what she is experiencing is a trial that expiates her sins and raises her ranks if she is patient and seeks reward from Allah, for a believer is afflicted so that Allah may expiate his sins and raise his ranks. There is no harm in the wife avoiding the husband's family if advice and good treatment do not benefit in removing the harm.
