If the husband pronounces a clear divorce statement, being aware and having made a choice, his divorce takes effect. Anger does not prevent its occurrence unless it completely removes one's sanity. Divorce also occurs by uttering it over the phone, even if the wife is not aware of it. If this is the first divorce, the husband can reconcile with his wife before the expiry of her 'iddah by saying: "I have reconciled with you" or "I have reconciled with my wife," and it is recommended to have witnesses for the reconciliation.
