How sound is the circulating supplication for the night of Isra and Mi'raj?

Attributing this supplication to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is a lie. It should not be used in supplication because it contains contrived rhyming prose, which is feared to be an act of aggression in supplication. The exact date of the Night Journey (Isra') is not definitively known, and it is impermissible to dedicate a specific night to acts of worship or supplications, claiming it to be the Night of Isra', as this is an innovated bid'ah.
