The answer

The Isra' and Mi'raj are among the great signs of Allah that attest to the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the power of Allah the Almighty. During this event, the five daily prayers were enjoined. The authentic hadiths do not specify the exact night of theIsra' and Mi'raj. Neither the Prophet (peace be upon him) nor his noble companions celebrated it. Therefore, celebrating it is an innovation (bid'ah) and is not permissible, because the religion has been perfected, and introducing innovations into it contradicts the teachings of Islam.
