Is the plot of land given to my husband as collateral to recover the money he paid to get a job that was not provided, rightfully his?

There are two issues here: The first relates to the agreement between the husband and the aforementioned person to employ him for a sum of money, and clarification of its ruling: when it is permissible and when it is forbidden. The second relates to the plot of land, where the original principle is that it belongs to its owner, and the husband has no right to it except to reclaim what he paid, if he paid anything. If the landowner refuses to return the payment and procrastinates, then the husband has the right to resort to seizing his right.
