Should a deceased person's golden tooth be extracted, or should it be left even if extraction would damage adjacent teeth?

The golden tooth should only be installed out of necessity. As for adornment, it is not permissible for men but is permissible for women. If a person with a golden tooth dies, it should be removed if possible without mutilation; otherwise, it remains with the deceased and is buried. If the mature and sane heir permits its retention, it is left. Otherwise, the grave is dug, and the tooth is taken after the deceased has decayed, due to the Prophet's ﷺ prohibition against wasting wealth.
