And what is the connection between the division of inheritance, where the male receives the share of two females, and the financial support and service of parents?

If a girl marries and is unable to combine obedience to her parents and her husband, then obedience to her husband in what is right is more prioritizing. Some scholars have held that it is obligatory for a daughter to serve her parents if they are in dire need, even if her husband forbids her. Children must cooperate in serving their parents, and the son's wife is not obliged to serve her husband's parents. As for preferring the male in inheritance, it is the wise law of Allah. Scholars have differed on the division of maintenance for parents among children; some have divided it according to inheritance, while others have made no distinction between male and female or have made it obligatory only upon the son.
