Will I be absolved if I donate more than half of the ill-gotten money and its owner forgives me for this amount?

What you did absolves you, and blessed are you for repenting from that great sin. For whoever is guided to repentance has been guided to a great good. So praise Allah and thank Him for His blessings, and He will increase you from His bounty. And know that whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, He will replace it with something better, for Allah says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect." And it was from the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit breathed into my soul that no soul will die until it completes its provision and its term. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking."
