What is the ruling on going on trips or to mixed places with the intention of recreation and relaxation, even if there is immorality present, especially given the lack of places free from mixing?

Trips where young men and foreign young women intermix are not permissible because they are a door to fitna (temptation/discord) and a means to corruption. However, a man going out with his male friends or his family to parks is permissible, provided that Islamic legal guidelines are observed and forbidden acts are avoided.
