What is the ruling on a committed Muslim female doctor working in a mixed environment? And what should a sister do who has not married despite her commitment, beauty, and education, as she experiences disturbances when suitors propose to her? And what is the ruling on satellite channels that claim to know the caller's condition and ailment through their name, or one of their parents' names, or their initials, and then ask them to recite specific Qur'anic verses?

Delayed marriage may be a divine decree, or it could be due to magic and the evil eye. This can be treated with Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), by consistently performing acts of obedience, reciting remembrances (adhkar), and reading Surat Al-Baqarah.

It is not permissible to contact sorcerers and soothsayers through programs or otherwise, for the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever goes to a soothsayer and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights," and "Whoever goes to a soothsayer or a diviner and believes what he says, he has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." These individuals are descended upon by devils, and they seek their help in knowing people's affairs. One must be wary of them, for they are imposters and corruptors.
