What is the reason for the great merit of the father of Jabir ibn Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with them both), mentioned in the noble Hadith, which is that Allah Almighty spoke to him directly?

Indeed, Allah spoke to no one except from behind a veil, but He brought Abu Jabir back to life and spoke to him directly, saying: "O My servant, ask of Me, and I shall give you." So his father wished that Allah would bring him back to life so he could be killed in His path a second time. Allah Almighty then informed him that this was not possible due to His prior statement: "Indeed, they will not return to it." Jabir's father was buried with another person in one grave, and then Jabir exhumed him after six months, finding him exactly as he had placed him, with nothing changed except for his ear. This was due to his virtue and his striving in the way of Allah.
