As for the verse, "And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by [divine] inspiration or from behind a veil," this addresses the methods of revelation in the worldly life. Allah the Almighty speaks to His prophets either by inspiration or from behind a veil, as He spoke to Moses. The verse speaks of this world, whereas Allah's speaking to Jaber's father was in the Barzakh.
