Is it obligatory to seek employment to support one's family and pursue knowledge, or is it permissible to continue pursuing knowledge and be supported by the father's money, which is mixed between lawful and unlawful, especially with the difficulty of finding work under wartime conditions?

The father should be advised about the impermissibility of unlawful earnings with wisdom and good counsel. If he does not respond, there is no sin upon the child, for Allah Almighty says: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another."

As for benefiting from mixed wealth given by the father, there is no harm in it, because dealing with mixed wealth is permissible, though disliked, with the degree of dislike increasing or decreasing according to the scarcity or abundance of the unlawful portion. It is preferable to strive to earn one's livelihood from pure halal sources, free from doubt, to maintain one's own integrity and that of one's family.
