Is it permissible to give an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) on behalf of a deceased father who did not perform good deeds? And is it necessary to seek permission from the expatriate husband if the money is from the allowance he sends for household expenses?

It is permissible to give charity on behalf of one's father, whether it be a one-time donation or an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: (When a person dies, all his deeds cease except for three: an ongoing charity, knowledge from which others benefit, or a righteous child who supplicates for him). If the expenditure is from the wife’s personal money, she may give charity from it. Otherwise, the husband’s permission is required, unless she knows he approves, based on the Prophet’s saying: (When a woman spends from her husband's house without causing damage, she will have her reward, and he will have a similar reward for what he earned, and she will have a reward for what she spent, and the treasurer will have a similar reward, without any decrease in their rewards). And his saying: (A woman should not spend anything from her house except with her husband's permission).
