It is permissible for a woman to give ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) or similar forms of charity on behalf of her father from her own private wealth. However, it is not permissible for her to dispose of her husband's money without his permission. This ruling also applies to performing Umrah on behalf of the mother or other relatives using the husband's money. As for the deceased's wealth, it is an inheritance for all heirs, and no ongoing charity may be performed from it except with the consent of all heirs.
