What must I do after watching TV series, despite my vow to stop watching them due to my obsession with death, and is expiation repeated if I return to watching them after having already expiated, and does the vow apply to non-offensive movies and cartoons?

It is advisable to distance oneself from fears of death and obsessive thoughts by occupying time with beneficial activities, such as learning, working, and permissible recreation. One should avoid sitting alone and indulging in thoughts about this matter. It is also necessary to completely avoid disobedience and fulfill one's covenant with Allah, as He states: "And fulfill the covenant; indeed, the covenant will be asked about" and "those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it." If someone makes a covenant with Allah and then breaks it, they must offer an expiation for a broken oath, which is feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If none of these are possible, then fasting for three days. Watching humorous films devoid of forbidden elements incurs no consequences.
