What is the ruling on looking at a deceased person, or a picture of them from before their death, when they are not a mahram to me?

It is forbidden for a woman to look at a non-mahram man, whether after his death or at his picture before his death, if she is certain that lust will arise or she strongly suspects its presence. Death does not nullify the impermissibility of looking that existed during life, and the ruling on looking at the deceased is the same as looking at him when alive. However, if the looking is without lust, scholars have differed, and the more preponderant opinion is permissibility.
