It is recommended to choose a religious wife who will help in matters of this world and the Hereafter, as stated in the prophetic hadith: "So win the religious woman, and you will prosper." There is no conflict between your desire and your parents' desire to marry outside the family. Both can be achieved by searching for a righteous, religious wife from outside the circle of relatives. This will serve both interests and please your parents.

If it is possible to sit with the fiancée in the presence of her mahram without khalwah (seclusion), then it is permissible to discuss essential matters with her, without exaggerating in questions and relying on inquiring about her and her family before entering the house. Honesty must be maintained when stating one's financial and social status.

It is not permissible to confess past sins that Allah has concealed to the fiancée; rather, one must conceal their own sins.
