Is it permissible to marry a girl whose family has approved of her, but my family refuses to complete the marriage with unconvincing excuses, given my intense fear of returning to sin?

If a person fears falling into sin and is capable of marriage, then marriage becomes obligatory for him, and he should not obey his parents if they forbid him. He should try to convince his family, and if they insist, he can clarify the matter to the girl's family. If he is unable to marry, then he must fast and distance himself from provocations, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young people, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it helps lower the gaze and guard chastity. And whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him."
