Is informing one's maternal aunt about the negative statements made by relatives concerning her, and their attempts to harm her, considered backbiting (namimah) or discord (fitnah)? Does sin result from this, and is repentance accepted for it?

It is obligatory to advise relatives and forbid them from evil. If they do not take heed, then there is no sin in informing the aunt of what will alert her to take precaution. This is not forbidden backbiting, but rather it is advice.
