Is it permissible for Muslims in Switzerland, given the hardship of daylight saving time, the long duration of the 'Isha prayer, and the short interval between 'Isha and Fajr, in addition to the distance to the mosque and the difficulty of transportation, to follow the fatwas of Islamic centers that combine the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers, or specify a particular time for 'Isha, or add an hour or twenty minutes after the Maghrib time, instead of waiting for the original 'Isha entry time, which causes great hardship and leads to the abandonment of the Muslim congregation?

In countries where night is distinct from day, every obligatory prayer must be performed at its specified time. It is not permissible to combine Maghrib and Isha merely because the Isha time is delayed, due to the generality of Allah's saying: "Establish prayer at the declining of the sun until the darkness of the night and [recite] the Qur’an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed." (Quran 17:78), and His saying: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a timed ordinance." (Quran 4:103). It is necessary to adhere to what was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding the determination of prayer times. Therefore, each prayer must be performed at its specified time, and even if it is difficult to gather in the mosque, it is permissible for each group to pray in its own place, as the mosque is not a condition for the validity of congregational prayer according to the four Sunni schools of thought. It is also permissible to delay Fajr prayer until an hour before sunrise, although performing it at the beginning of its time is better.
