Is it permissible to separate from an ill-tempered fiancée who sometimes curses, after physical contact has occurred and the suitor has repented to God?

Annulment of the engagement without a legitimate Shari justification is not permissible due to its implications of breaking a promise and failing to fulfill a covenant, both of which are blameworthy in the Shari'ah. Furthermore, it causes psychological harm to the fiancée and her family and tarnishes her reputation. Nevertheless, it is permissible. However, if the annulment is for a legitimate Shari or ordinary reason, then there is no objection to it. The suitor must not be alone with his fiancée, and he should not see anything from her beyond what prompts him to marry her during the first viewing.
