Is it permissible for a Muslim to distribute his movable and immovable property among his children during his lifetime?

It is permissible for a father to distribute his wealth among his children during his lifetime as a gift, provided four conditions are met: that the distributor is legally competent to dispose of property, that he acts justly in the distribution unless there is a legitimate religious reason not to, that the distribution takes place while he is in good health and not during a death-bed illness, and that each child takes possession of their share of the wealth during the father's lifetime and health. If the possession of the wealth is conditional upon death, then it is considered a bequest to an heir, which is not permissible. However, if the distribution is intended as a division of inheritance, it is invalid.
