Is a son's disclosing his psychological illness, depression, and anxiety to his father, who is in the final stages of cancer, considered an act of disobedience?

If the sick father is distressed by being informed of his son's psychological illness, and his condition worsens, then the son should not inform him of it to prevent harm. Informing him might even be considered an act of disobedience (aqūq) if the son is able to conceal it. However, if the father is not distressed by being informed, and there is a benefit in informing him, such as seeking advice, then there is no harm in that, and it is not considered an act of disobedience.
