Know that patience and contentment with divine decree in the face of affliction are religiously commanded. There is no contradiction between showing patience in the face of an affliction that befalls one's father and filial piety or lack of compassion. Therefore, you must continue to care for your father and supplicate for him, and you should not pay attention to any of Satan's whispers.
