How can one show righteousness to a father afflicted with Alzheimer's, despite the difficult, violent, psychological, and physical behaviors he exhibits that cause psychological stress to the caregiver? And are anger, yelling, and pushing the father considered disobedience to parents?

Filial piety towards parents is one of the greatest acts of worship, and its reward is immense. It is a gateway to Paradise, while disobedience to parents is one of the greatest prohibitions. It is not permissible to raise one's voice at a parent or scold them, even if they strive to make the child commit polytheism; the child should accompany them in this world with kindness. What was mentioned about raising one's voice, shouting, and being harsh with the father is an act of disobedience, and it is a hurtful behavior, especially with the father's illness, old age, and weakness. One must repent and stop complaining and shouting, and meet the father's anger with forbearance and patience. Filial piety towards the father is obligatory upon the son, just as the father was patient with him when he was young. Allah Almighty has emphasized honoring parents in their old age, and the retribution for disobedience is swift in this world.
