Do jinn dislike the smell of black seed smoke and harmal and flee from it, and did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recommend frankincense and fumigating with it?

We have not found, after research, anything to support the claim that jinn dislike the aforementioned smoke and flee from it. The Hadith reported regarding the virtue of fumigating with frankincense is not authentic due to a断 chain of narration and the presence of Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Aban in it, who is a discredited narrator of Hadith.

Furthermore, Sheikh Ibn Baz was asked about the ruling on using incense to expel devils, and he said: "I do not know of any legal basis for this action, and it is obligatory to abandon it, as it is among the superstitions that have no basis. Rather, devils are expelled by frequently remembering Allah, reciting the Quran, and seeking refuge with the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created."
