How can one atone for stealing money from a deceased paternal aunt (khalat al-ab) ten years ago, the amount of which is unknown?

The money taken must be returned to the aunt's heirs, along with sincere repentance to Allah, in accordance with His saying: "But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, Allah will accept his repentance. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
