What is the ruling on taking unlawful money now if I know that I will urgently need it in the near future and will not find anything else?

Necessity and duress are actualized only by a present reality, not by an anticipated or imagined matter; because what is anticipated might be an illusion, and no ruling is based upon it. True hardship is what permits concession, otherwise not. Jurists stipulated for the existence of duress that the threat must be immediate, as if one says: "If you do not do such-and-such, I will strike you now." If he says: "Tomorrow," he is not considered coerced.
