What is your opinion of Imam Al-Zarkashi?
Al-Zarkashi is Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Bahadur, Abu Abdullah Badr al-Din, an Egyptian, born in 745 AH. He studied under al-Isnawi, al-Bulqini, and al-Adhra'i, and heard hadith in Damascus. He was a jurist, a scholar of legal principles, a man of letters, and a virtuous person. He taught and issued fatwas. He was interested in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), its Usul (principles), Hadith sciences, the Qur'an, and Tafsir (exegesis). He left more than thirty works, including: "Al-Burhan fi Ulum al-Qur'an" (The Proof in Qur'anic Sciences) and "Al-Tadhkirah fi al-Ahadith al-Mushtaharah" (The Reminder on Well-Known Hadiths). He passed away in Egypt in 794 AH.
