What is your opinion of Imam Al-Zarkashi?
Al-Zarkashi is Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Bahadur, Abu Abdullah Badr al-Din, an Egyptian, born in 745 AH. He studied under al-Isnawi, al-Bulqini, and al-Adhra'i, and heard in Damascus. He was a jurist, a scholar of legal principles, a man of letters, and a virtuous person. He taught and issued fatwas. He was interested in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), its Usul (principles), Hadith sciences, the Qur'an, and (exegesis). He left more than thirty works, including: "Al-Burhan fi Ulum al-Qur'an" (The Proof in Qur'anic Sciences) and "Al-Tadhkirah fi al-Ahadith al-Mushtaharah" (The Reminder on Well-Known Hadiths). He passed away in Egypt in 794 AH.
