What happens when a believer's or disbeliever's grave is exhumed? Does that stop the torment or bliss of the grave? And what if a person was not buried at all, or if a disbeliever was buried with a Muslim?
The life of Barzakh is a unique life, different from both the life of this world and the Hereafter. Its true nature is known only through the texts of revelation. Digging up a grave, leaving it, or not burying the deceased does not change their state, for Allah is capable of delivering bliss or torment to them regardless of their condition. In a Hadith, a man was burned and his ashes scattered in the wind, yet Allah gathered him and forgave him.
