If an impurity afflicts one of the body parts, and the entire body is wet with water, does the entire body become impure? And does the entire body become impure if there was an impurity on the body that was washed with water that did not remove it, and then what was around it was washed with clean water that passed over some of the impure water? And is the ruling the same for wet clothes, such that the entire garment becomes impure just by the impurity touching it, or only the part that was touched?

The default state for any part of the body is purity, not impurity. Therefore, if a spot becomes impure, the rest of the body is not judged to be impure unless there is certainty that the impurity has reached another spot. The passage of pure water over a spot containing impure water does not affect the pure water; rather, it purifies the spot. A wet garment is not judged to be entirely impure merely because impurity has affected one part of it. It is advised to refer to fatwas concerning obsessive-compulsive disorder and its treatment.
