Are avatars in forums considered to be a submissive way of speaking?

It is not permissible to post pictures of women in forums, whether real or anonymous, due to the temptation and arousal of desire they cause. If a woman posts her picture in a forum where men participate, this is akin to, or even worse than, speaking in a soft tone, as it causes anyone who reads her posts to conjure up this provocative image, leading those with sickness in their hearts to covet. The Sharia came to block all means [to evil] and prevent causes of temptation, based on Allah's saying: (O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate words) and based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: (A woman should not intimately touch another woman, then describe her to her husband as if he is looking at her).
