Is it permissible for a man afflicted with vitiligo on his penis, which may be genetically transmitted, to proceed with marriage while concealing his illness, or must he disclose it for fear of deception (ghirar)? And what is the Sharia ruling in his case?

If leprosy is something that repels the wife, she must be informed before the marriage contract; because concealing it is deception and fraud. And every defect that causes repulsion and does not fulfill the purpose of marriage, which is affection and mercy, must be disclosed. Sheikh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen pointed out that if there is a hidden defect in the fiancée, the suitor must be informed of it, even if he does not ask, as a form of advice, especially if the defect is unlikely to disappear. As for defects that are likely to disappear, they are less severe, with a distinction between what disappears soon and what disappears after a long time. A person should entrust his affair to Allah and seek a woman of good character and religiosity.
