Is masturbation permissible as a treatment for masochistic fantasies for someone who cannot consult a doctor?
What you have called masochism is a type of psychological illness, and there is no disease for which Allah has not sent down a cure. For deliverance from it, we advise you with the following:
Firstly: Turn to Allah Almighty and ask Him for healing and well-being.
Secondly: Have a sincere resolve to rid yourself of this feeling and these fantasies.
Thirdly: Be diligent in reciting the Qur’an and frequently engaging in the remembrance of Allah; for remembrance reassures hearts and removes fears from them.
Fourthly: Perform (Islamic exorcism/incantation); for it is beneficial, by Allah’s will, for all illnesses.
Fifthly: Benefit from available psychological counseling.
As for masturbation, it is forbidden, and Allah has not placed the cure for the Ummah in what He has forbidden to it. Therefore, fear Allah and be patient; for Allah does not let the reward of those who do good go to waste.
