How should a wife deal with her husband who treats her and their daughters with cruelty and violence, who does not care about their religious or worldly affairs, and who taunts his wife about her mother's lineage, and how should the wife deal with her daughters regarding their father's treatment?

A wife should be patient with her husband's bad character if he is far from the teachings of Islam. She should continuously treat him with kindness, raise her daughters, and seek reward from Allah, while supplicating to Allah for his guidance and attempting to advise him gently and draw closer to him. As for the daughters, they must be taught that their father has rights over them no matter what he does, because Allah has enjoined kindness to parents.
