Is it permissible to enter a church on a school trip if the purpose of entering is not worship?

It is permissible to enter a church as long as it does not contain anything forbidden, such as a celebration or images. However, it is not permissible to enter it except with the permission of its people. It is forbidden to enter any house that contains an image. As for taking children on a trip to it, there is no harm in that, but those in charge of the trip should explain to them the Islamic legal stance regarding churches and the falsehoods they contain.
