Is it permissible to enter churches to discuss matters with priests or to learn about what they do inside them?

It is permissible for scholars to enter churches to invite their people to Islam. However, entering them merely for sightseeing is not appropriate, as there is no benefit in it, and there is a concern that a Muslim might be influenced by them, especially if he is ignorant of his religious matters and unable to refute misconceptions.
