Must the unlawful usurious interest be removed from the exact money deposited in the bank, or is it permissible to remove it from other money owned by the questioner? And is he obliged to re-remove what was previously removed from his salary from the exact same money in the bank?

If the illicit money is known or mixed with lawful money, it must be disposed of by spending it on good causes, with the intention of disposal, not charity; because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah is pure and accepts only what is pure." Usurious interest must be removed from money held in a usurious bank, and one must refrain from depositing money in it in the future.
